The forend is held on with two barrel bands both marked "U" on the right. The 40,000 first run Remington-made Danish rifles are marked with Remington patent information stamped on the upper tang. This is a very rare, arsenal refinished, 1867 Navy contract Remington Rolling Block Cadet Rifle based on the original Navy contract rifles using a 1-1/2 rolling block action only built in a Cadet version for use at the naval academies. ![]()
